Pelvic Floor Yoga™
Pelvic Floor Health
Pelvic floor issues refer to a range of conditions affecting the muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues that support the pelvic organs; bladder, uterus and rectum.
These issues can include:
-
Pelvic Floor Dysfunction: When the pelvic floor muscles are too tight (hypertonic) or too weak (hypotonic), causing problems with bladder and bowel control, sexual function, and pelvic pain.
-
Pelvic Organ Prolapse: When one or more pelvic organs drop from their normal position due to weakened pelvic floor muscles, leading to symptoms like pressure, discomfort, and urinary issues.
-
Urge/Stress Incontinence: Loss of bladder or bowel control, often caused by weakened pelvic floor muscles, leading to urinary or fecal leakage.
Overview of the Programme
This Pelvic Floor Yoga™ programme provides an individualised approach to supporting your pelvic health, with private sessions designed to address your unique needs.
We begin with an initial assessment form, which helps me understand your goals and challenges, setting the foundation for a personalised plan.
Once we connect for our first session, we’ll embark on a structured series of classes, each tailored to guide you through targeted techniques for strength, flexibility, and comfort.
Support you'll receive
As you progress, I’ll work closely with you to adjust and refine the practice based on your development.
You’ll also receive personalised 20-30 minute sequences to incorporate at home, reinforcing what we cover in each session and making it easier to sustain a routine that fits your lifestyle.
Ongoing support and adjustments ensure that each step in the program continues to meet you where you are, empowering you to reconnect with your body and enjoy improved balance and ease in your daily life.
